Historical Fiction

In 1931, the great depression was hitting Tennessee hard. A little girl’s father would practice baseball with her everyday he came back from work. Until one day he came back jobless. So he jumped on a train and looked for a new job When the little girl grew older she and her friend got baseball tickets and watched Jackie Mitchell (the first girl pitcher for the Chattanooga lookouts). She struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. The next day, the little girl was now able to play baseball.

Taxing With The Class

When i taxed with the class it was fun but I did not like how we were taxed. Like we were taxed if we had blue eyes, brown hair, red shirt, or if our hair was tied up! We had to give either 1,2,or 3 mints (the mints were used for money). After i ran out of money I was sad but I learned what it was like to be taxed!
